Project Snapshot

A prime-time docu-variety strand commissioned by CCTV-3 to warm up audiences for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
From T-10 to T-1 (25 Jan – 3 Feb 2022) the show aired one themed episode per day—each mixing studio talk, location inserts, cultural performances and short countdown vignettes that celebrated China’s ice-snow heritage.

Purpose

  • Build nationwide excitement and cultural pride ahead of the 4 February Opening Ceremony.
  • Spotlight “dual-Olympic” memories—linking 2008 Summer Games to 2022 Winter Games—from the perspective of athletes, artists and volunteers.

My Responsibilities

  1. Concept & Research – developed daily creative angles, historical facts and music cues for two assigned episodes.
  2. Scriptwriting – drafted Mandarin studio scripts, location beats, and all countdown VTR copy.
  3. Field Direction – coached hosts and guests on set; coordinated multi-camera teams at Beijing heritage sites.
  4. Package Supervision – oversaw editing of 10–20 s “Countdown Shorts” blending traditional Chinese arts with numeric motifs.
  5. Social Syndication – supplied sub-60 s clips and hashtags to CCTV’s Weibo / Douyin teams for same-day distribution.
